Every New Year brings with it a ray of new hope and yes time to make a list of resolutions. Statistics show that loosing weight and personal fitness tops the resolution list, with 90% of Americans making a renewed oath every New Year eve to close this year with lesser pounds. But again more then 98% are even quicker in breaking this resolution in less than a month’s time.

Fatty fried food has become our best buddy. When we are depressed it is there to comfort and while we are happy we are arm in arm with calorie loaded food to celebrate. Long working hours make our walking shoes just gather dust at the back of our shoe cupboards. But with the threatening increase in all the stress and obesity related diseases it is now the right time to give personal fitness it’s much needed due. So here are few of the tips that will help you reach your personal fitness goals:

  • Food as a Friend not Foe - Having a balanced diet at regular timings will pau you rich dividends when you are concentrating on your personal fitness. Keep a track of what you eat and when you eat which will augment your personal fitness efforts by making your realize where to cut corners. Having minimum eight to ten portions of fresh fruits and vegetables which are good source of anti-oxidants will help you in maintaining high fitness levels. Don’t miss out on proteins and include low GI fats and carbohydrates in your daily diets which helps you in maintaining great personal fitness.
  • Exercising makes you Excel - Personal fitness requires regular effort. You should workout at least 5 times per week which will help you not only in loosing the extra flab but will also increase your stamina and make you agile. As you reach great personal fitness, your body becomes more leaner and more energetic
  • Stay Motivated - Last but not the least reaching high levels of personal fitness requires focus and extreme dedication. You are bound to face hurdles, bound to get tired but instead of giving up you should stay motivated and work harder towards attaining amazing personal fitness.

Personal Fitness adds to your confidence. If you are in a great physical shape you are not scared of flaunting your body whether be it a beach party or a pool side party at a friends place. Great personal fitness also lets you enjoy wearing a great evening gown without worry about the peeping paunch.
